The inefficiency of an AC induction motors worsens when the workload of a motor is less than full. When the actual work load of the motor is lower than the rated load, the sensing circuit reduce the energy being fed to the motor to the exact ampare level the motor needs. This has the effect of reducing motor consumption.
SunPower™ Motor Saver controls the AC induction motor so it always functions at its optimum efficiency. The Motor Saver reduces excessive energy waste in three-phase AC induction motors. The controller unit is providing a reduced ampares loss, reduced energy consumption and improved power factor.
The unit monitors the phase lag of the current and voltage relationship in a motor that is operating at less than full mechanical load. The SunPower™ Motor Saver controller cuts back the ampares to precisely what the motor requires to maintain the same rated speed and torque under the present load.
Reduces Electric power consumption 10% to 48%.

Through its SunPower™ Motor Saver, Conservelec is helping companies save electricity on equipment and appliances driven by three-phase AC induction motors, thus strengthening competitiveness.
Motor Saver reduces energy waste in AC induction motors and makes the motor function at its optimal efficiency in proportion to load rate. Motor Saver monitors the phase lag of the current and voltage relationship in a motor that is operating at less than full mechanical load. Motor Saver cuts back the voltage to precisely what the motor requires maintaining the rated speed and torque under the present load, thus reducing power consumption.
By reducing power consumption, SunPower™ Motor Saver reduces the need of constructing pollution-generating, resource-consuming power plants and contributes to making clean world.
Motor Saver is an auxiliary equipment designed to control input voltage of motor while not disturbing the production rate. Continuous dynamic control is applied to the motor by a microprocessor which calls Thyristor. Thyristor phase control is used to adjust the motor terminal voltage in respond to changes of motor loading. Plug N Save uses micro controller 8 bit at 20 MHz as CPU (central processing unit) to respond the load change within 1/100 second.
